Champs d'Elysees

This afternoon, Audrey and I went to the Champs d'Elysees where we got to go shopping and drink hot chocolate. At one end of the Champs d'Elysees is the Arc de Triomphe (Arc of Triumph). The arc is to honor the soldiers who fought for France in the Napoleonic Wars. There is also a memorial there to honor the soldiers who died fighting for France. There is a special song about the Champs d'Elysees that I know so that is what the video is about (I made Audrey do one too!) At the other end of the street is a great building with the French flag on top. I thought you might like to see their flag...it is the same colors as ours, but looks different. Also, there was a store called Morgan Mania (like the Morgan in our afternoon kindergarten class!)

I think Audrey looks like your Dad. I am so glad y'all both got to sing the song for us - both Baker girls have so much talent! I want to go shopping and drink hot cocoa with you silly girls! I thought it was silly that there were no lines on the street there - what chaos! I could not drive in that! And, thanks for the French history - I think I slept through that day in school and missed all the interesting facts. Drats! I should have stayed awake in class. I am glad y'all are having so much fun! I love you - Mate

PS - Please do not forget a postcard for Chloe. She can be found at 18 Woodley Avenue, 28804. You are the best Aunt Mate we know!
